Lindsay Alker

Lindsay Alker has designed fashion & furnishing fabrics for over 20 years, working with Diana Von Furstenberg, Calvin Klein, Gap, Ralph Lauren, Cacharel, Agnes B. Designers Guild, Boussac and many others. Throughout the 80’s she designed fabric collections for Liberty of London and collaborated with Reiko Sudo of Nuno Corporation renowned for their innovative textiles. She created inspirational prints for the trend forecasting agencies Promostyl & Peclers. Lindsay Alker was visiting lecturer in printed textiles at IED MODA ‘Instituto Europeo di Design’ in Milan.

This first collection under her own name is designed with lino-blocks and hand silkscreened in England on linen sourced in Ireland. The collection initially inspired by Arts & Crafts design features the signature print ‘Battle Great Wood’ complimented with contemporary geometric patterns. The designs are intentionally uneven and retain the texture of lino prints.
